Skydiver John Pitts is lucky to be alive after crashing into high-voltage power lines during a Memorial Day Weekend festival last Saturday. At the start of the ceremony, he and two other jumpers were to land near a scale model of The Vietnam Wall to kick off festivities, however he was blown into the electrical wires by a strong gust of wind.

He then came crashing down onto the field as onlookers watched. The other two divers landed without incident. Pitts was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center, and was released this past Monday, and is expected to recover fully. Happened in Winchester, Texas, USA.
