On the afternoon of this Monday, April 23, there were moments of anguish and terror in Cárdenas , Tabasco , when Sicarios set fire to at least six public transportation units , as well as a crane, in response to the arrest of Luciano " El Topo ", leader of The Sweeper . In one of these burnings, Jessica Domínguez López , a young mother who sacrificed her life to save her son, would have died .

Citizens of Cárdenas , Tabasco , have classified as hell what was experienced the afternoon of last Monday, April 22 in the municipality, this after state and federal authorities managed to arrest Luciano ' El Topo ', leader of La Barredora , that operates in that region of the country and to which extortion and other criminal activities are attributed .

In response, the criminals burned public transport units. One of those incidents occurred on the Cárdenas - Comalcalco highway when a truck was set on fire . Apparently, the drug traffickers set the fire before the people inside could get out, including Jessica and her son Della.

“There's someone inside,” a person who recorded with his cell phone was heard shouting as the truck was consumed by fire. That person was allegedly Jessica Domínguez López , who managed to get her son out of one of the windows to save himself, but she was hit by the fire and could no longer survive. However, this version has not been confirmed by the authorities.

According to Juan Carlos Castillejos , spokesperson for the Tabasco government , as a result of the operation, four alleged criminals were arrested, including ' El Topo ', in addition to two more who were killed. However, nothing has been mentioned about the version that points to the death of the woman who saved the life of her son. For now, there is information from local media.

“The events in the Santa Rosalía area on the Cárdenas to Comalcalco route are the product of the reaction of alleged criminals after the @SEDENAmx operation in Town C-21 where 2 alleged criminals, weapons, drugs and vehicles were detained. (...) More information: in total, 4 alleged criminals arrested and 2 killed," he wrote

There was also speculation on social networks that the criminals had gone to attack the 57th Infantry Battalion . However, although the confrontation between uniformed officers and criminals was confirmed, it was ruled out that it took place in said place, as mentioned in information disseminated by anti-government accounts.

“Specifying: alleged criminals tried to burn vehicles on the Cárdenas-Coatzacoalcos highway and block it, but elements of the operations base close to the 57th battalion avoided said action by confronting them. The confrontation was not in the 57th Battalion,” he stated.

We are awaiting confirmation from the authorities regarding the death of Jessica Domínguez López, the young woman who died after rescuing her son from the flames in the drug blockades of Cárdenas, Tabasco.
