49-year-old woman died after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing Avenida Amazonas to drop off trash in Pará de Minas . The accident, recorded on Saturday (19), was reported this Monday (21) by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). The Military Police (PM) were also at the scene.According to the military, the woman was moving to put the trash in the central flowerbed when the motorcycle driver, suspected of being drunk, failed to brake and hit the victim. She died at the scene.The 24-year-old motorcyclist was rescued by SAMU and taken to the hospital. He was conscious but confused, with a cut on his upper lip.A witness told the police that, moments before the accident, the motorcycle driver was seen drinking alcohol. The police confirmed the drunkenness through the motorcyclist's disjointed speech, alcohol breath and mental confusion.The experts were called and arrived at the scene. The body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
