Alessandro Cardoso Rodrigues, 29 , died on Thursday afternoon (15) after being hit in the neck by a kite string while traveling along João Paulo II Avenue , near the Coqueiro Viaduct , in the direction of Belém-Ananindeua. Rodrigues, who worked as a security guard at a private security company and also worked as a pastor at an evangelical church in the Curió-Utinga neighborhood, did not survive the serious cervical injury and died early in the evening at the Metropolitan Emergency and Urgency Hospital (HMUE) , in Ananindeua.According to police, Rodrigues was returning to work to return the motorcycle he was using when he was hit by the kite string. Videos shared on social media show the moment a group of people try to help the security guard, who appears to be still conscious, but with a bloody neck. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) was called and took the victim to the HMUE, but he did not survive his injuries.In a statement, the Civil Police reported this Friday (16) that the Marco Police Station has already begun investigations to determine the circumstances of the death, with expert examinations being carried out and witnesses being heard. So far, the person responsible for the cutting line that caused the accident has not been identified or located.The wake for Alessandro Rodrigues is being held at the church where he attended, in the Curió-Utinga neighborhood, in Belém. The burial is scheduled to take place on Saturday morning (17), at 9 am, in a private cemetery located in Alça Viária.
