The lifeless body of a pregnant woman was discovered hanging from a cashew tree along Uke-Ideani road in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Police operatives from the Ogidi Police Division, who were alerted by local residents, evacuated the body and deposited it in the mortuary.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said the State Police Commissioner has called on leaders in the community to assist with the investigation into the ‘suspected murder’.
