The Beaufort Police Department is reviewing an incident going viral on social media.The video first shows a woman being pulled out of a vehicle by Beaufort police officers.As the video goes on, an officer tells the person filming to “stay back” as she films the arrest.An officer then appears to grab her. As she responds, “Don’t grab me,” he says, “You’re going to go to jail, too,” before apprehending her.“Stop resisting,” an officer is heard saying. “You’re under arrest for obstruction.”Beaufort Police released the following statement on social media addressing the video:“The Beaufort Police Department is aware of a video circulating on various social media platforms regarding an incident that occurred on November 28, 2024.As part of standard protocol, every incident involving a response to resistance undergoes a multi-step review process to ensure compliance with our standards and policies.We remain committed to transparency, accountability, and upholding the trust of our community.”
