A transvestite who was supposedly from the city of Santa Cruz was stabbed in the early hours of this Wednesday (16) at a gas station on the banks of BR-230, in the municipality of Sousa, Sertão Paraibano.

According to information obtained by Diário do Sertão from the Civil Police, SAMU was called and confirmed the veracity of the incident. The victim suffered several machete blows to the body and was taken to the Sousa Regional Hospital (HRS). According to the police, she was conscious and oriented at the time of assistance.

The victim told the police that the perpetrator of the attempted murder was a truck driver. The officer on duty said that the case is being investigated.
