“ Camera, my people, what are you doing here? Wallet and cell phones! Whoever does something stupid, I'll shoot them and I don't care who it hits! ” That's how two rats armed with a firearm assaulted nine passengers and the driver of a Route 8 unit in the Santa Lucía neighborhood, south of the city of Puebla, on Wednesday morning .

The robbery, which took place in broad daylight, was recorded by one of the surveillance cameras installed inside the public transport .

However, hours later, a social media user recognized the thief and shared a photograph of him at his daughter's graduation with his family. On social media, the rat appears as Ivan Villrce .

According to the video footage that is already circulating on social media, the thieves are two men between 40 and 50 years old, with dark skin, wearing a cap, a jacket or sweatshirt, and jeans; one of thin build and medium height and the other of medium build, with a beard and mustache.

The victims were nine passengers, eight women and one man, as well as the operator of unit 29 , Route 8 .

The recording shows how initially five people were traveling in the unit and while it was circulating on the route, two women asked to stop to get on.

When one of the passengers finished paying her fare and receiving change, on another stretch of road, the two criminals stopped and paid the driver their fare like any other user.

The criminals, as seen in the video, arranged themselves in a seat, each one sitting in a corner, leaving a female passenger in the middle.

Just a few seconds later, one of the thugs, who was wearing a wine-colored jacket, stood up and quickly pulled a gun out of his clothes to threaten the passengers and the driver, demanding their belongings.

“ Camera, my people, what are you doing? Wallet and cell phones! Your driver, keep driving, dude, stop acting like an idiot! ” shouted the assailant while his accomplice collected the victim’s belongings and put them in a backpack.

The only male passenger asked one of the robbers to let him remove the chip from his cell phone and immediately hand it over, while a young woman asked for her student ID.

“ Take out the chip and give it to me. Envelopes, envelopes, I'm not playing around, whoever does something stupid I'll shoot them and I don't care... whoever gets it, here's my driver! ” the thieves exclaimed before getting off the public transport.

Stunned by the events and thankful that this time no one had been hit, injured or killed, the passengers commented with resignation: "Well, there's no other way, things have already happened anyway." Meanwhile, the driver continued on his way without calling the police for help.
