On April 9-10, 2026, 18-year-old Rubina Chandio was allegedly shot dead in public in the village of Batto Chandio, near Tando Masti, Khairpur district, Sindh. Her uncle, Qaiser Chandio, is accused of murdering her in front of hundreds of villagers under the pretext of 'Karo-Kari' (honor killing). According to reports, the young girl was taken by a man named Saddam to a wedding, returned the same evening due to pressure, and then held by the arms and executed while pleading for mercy.
