A U.S. drone strike on Saturday targeted a motorcycle in the Al-Husoon area of Al-Wadi district, east of central Yemen's Marib province.

The main target was reported by Yemeni social media accounts to be Munir Bajli al-Ahdal, known as 'Abu al-Hayjaa al-Hadidi,' the leader of al-Qaeda in Yemen . Al-Ahdal was targeted immediately after leaving the home of the head of the Islah Party in Ma'rib, Mabkhout bin Aboud al-Sharif along with a companion.
