In a chilling series of events, a young bricklayer was shot dead in the early hours of Thursday (21) in the Canaã neighborhood of Ipatinga. The tragic event involved two hitmen who arrived on a black motorcycle without license plates, fatally shooting Vitor Lucas de Oliveira Penha , 23, who was trying to flee towards the building where he worked.Images from the site's security cameras captured the terrifying scene, showing Vitor and his identical twin working on the same construction site . While one was persecuted and executed, the other miraculously managed to escape the fatal fate. The experts found 31 entry and exit holes for projectiles in the victim's body. After the violent crime, the perpetrators fled without being identified. However, what drew even more attention was the statement of the surviving twin, who left the scene promising to avenge the death of his brother . This threat of personal revenge adds an even darker element to the tragedy.Police responded to the scene and collected crucial evidence, including 23 rounds of 9 millimeter ammunition and 15 projectiles of the same caliber, as well as projectile fragments scattered around the crime scene.Additionally, police records were found indicating that Vitor had been involved in drug trafficking in the past , although his family claimed that he had distanced himself from that world and dedicated himself solely to honest work as a bricklayer in recent years. The neighbors were shocked by the brutality of the crime. "I had never seen anything like this. There were several gunshots and an ugly scream. I felt like I was on the set of a horror movie. We just have to pray, and see if this violence subsides," said one eyewitness.Authorities are actively investigating the case, aware of the threat of revenge from the surviving twin
