Wallace Marriel, 21, was shot dead during an attack on a bar in the Bela Vista neighborhood, in Colatina, Northwest Espírito Santo, on Thursday night (10/31).

According to the Military Police, Wallace was hit by five shots. Although he was rescued and taken to the Silvio Avidos State Hospital, he did not survive his injuries.

Security camera footage shows Wallace talking behind the bar counter when the suspect pulls out his gun and fires several times. A woman nearby tries to protect a child she is carrying.

In a statement to police, the teenager said he was with Wallace when the suspect entered the bar and started shooting. So far, no one has identified the shooter.

According to the police report, Wallace had a police record for drug trafficking. The Specialized Homicide and Personal Protection Unit (DHPP) in Colatina is investigating the case. The body was sent to the Regional Section of Forensic Medicine, of the Scientific Police.
