A former Army official died and two police officers were injured on Friday night as a result of a shooting near the Central Station bus terminal.

According to preliminary information, Carabineros was carrying out a deployment in said sector of the commune when it received a complaint from a person, who accused that an armed and intoxicated individual had entered his premises.

After the alert, police officials went to said place, where they were threatened by the former military man. In principle, only one police officer entered the aforementioned premises, a second corporal, who was subdued and shot in the head by the ex-soldier.

Subsequently, another officer entered the premises and noticed the situation, a fact that provoked the reaction of the subject, who shot the police officer who was restrained in the foot and then in the back.

After the above, a third police officer entered the scene and shot the attacker repeatedly, who lost his life at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
