- A man was killed and two people were detained after a shooting in northeast Memphis, police said.

According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), officers responded about 4:30 p.m. to a shooting on the 5200 block of Summer Avenue and found a man had been shot.

He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and later died, police said.

MPD also said two people were detained in connection to the shooting.

The police scene covered the front of a nearby Mexican restaurant, the front of Hotel Elite and part of Summer Avenue. Witnesses told FOX13 that they saw three people get out of a white car without license plates and opened fire at a man, who also had a gun.

In exclusive surveillance video obtained by FOX13 from a nearby business, it appears that the shooter steals the man's gun before leaving.
