Councilor and businessman Aguinaldo Carvalho de Aguiar, known as Aguinaldo Promissória, 46 years old, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in one of his houses, located on Avenida Anysio Chaves, in the Aeroporto Velho neighborhood, in Santarém, west of Pará, in the early hours of the morning this Monday (25). The police were called around 1 am to respond to the incident.According to the Civil Police, who were at the scene at the time of the shooting, in the house were Aguinaldo, his daughter and a woman, identified as Isabela Ataíde, who at the police station introduced herself as the councilor's girlfriend.In videos circulating on social media, Isabela appears next to Aguinaldo's body, which is lying on the bed, bloodied. A man films and accuses Isabela of having killed Aguinaldo, and she denies it. Isabela, whose clothes were stained with blood, was taken to the 16th Urban Section of Santarém to provide clarification, and underwent examinations. The police did not provide details of the statement she gave.The case was registered as a suicide, and forensics are investigating what actually happened. The body undergoes necropsy.Delegate Fábio Amaral informed the TV Tapajós journalism team that all pieces and expertise were requested and it is necessary to wait for the results to determine the path that will be followed in the investigation.This Monday morning (25), the Santarém City Council issued a note of condolence over the death of councilor Aguinaldo Promissória, and informed that this week's sessions will not be held.
