Three Brooklyn men have been arrested following a theft at a Target store in Westbury on Sunday in which a police officer was dragged along from the side of a car, police said.Quamik Stephenson, 24, and Ronald Jiles-Ais, 24, walked into Target at 999 Corporate Drive at 7:39 p.m. Sunday and placed two infant car seats into their shopping carts, police said. The duo went to the customer service counter and tried to return the car seats, which they did not purchase, so their returns were denied, police said. The men then left the store with the car seats, police said.They entered the back seat of a parked Tesla with the merchandise as store security notified police of the theft, police said.Officers saw the stolen car seats in the Tesla and made contact with the driver, Malique Wilson, 22, police said. Wilson got out of the Tesla and ran, police said. With the officers running after Wilson, he got back into the Tesla and tried to drive away with an officer at the passenger door, police said.When an officer entered the car to arrest Wilson, he began to drive away with the officer dangling out of the passenger side of the Tesla, police said. Wilson rammed three cars, including a police vehicle, the flee attempt, police said. Wilson's attempted escape created substantial damage and risk to the public and police, the department said.
