A 58-year-old woman died after being run over by a truck on Monday afternoon (7), at km 17 of BR 101, in the municipality of Pedro Canário , North of Espírito Santo. The accident happened around 3:50 pm. According to information from the PRF, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle presented himself at a Federal Highway Police (PRF) unit, reporting that he did not immediately notice the accident and only became aware of what had happened after being alerted by other drivers.

According to the Operational Control Center of Ecovias Capixaba, the central lane was closed in both directions, and traffic was diverted to side roads.

PRF patrol teams from São Mateus and concessionaire employees were called to signal the lane and provide traffic support on the road. The Civil Police (PC) forensics team was also called in around 4:26 pm to carry out the necessary procedures at the scene and remove the body, which will be sent to the Regional Section of Legal Medicine (SML) of the Scientific Police in Linhares for autopsy and subsequent release to the family.
