March 4, 2024 – (Hong Kong) A fatal traffic accident occurred on Tate's Cairn Road near the A Kung Kok Road roundabout in Sha Tin. One driver died and another was seriously injured. At approximately 10:38 a.m., a private car and a taxi collided, which later led to an even more tragic incident.

As the drivers of both vehicles were leaving the scene to discuss the accident, they were violently struck by a 10.4-ton truck that was unable to brake in time. The force of the impact left both men lying on the road with serious injuries. The taxi driver was immediately taken to the hospital. Despite intensive rescue efforts at the scene and later at the hospital, the driver of the private car succumbed to his injuries. The 58-year-old truck driver was later arrested by police.
