On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 6:50 a.m., Philadelphia Police responded to the 53XX block of Diamond Street for a person with a gun.

A 38-year-old black female was located with a gunshot wound to her shoulder and right bicep, she had been shot in front of her children.

Police transported the female to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was placed in stable condition.

The scene was held; an arrest was made, and a weapon was recovered. The investigation is active and ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group.
