NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio, One was taken to the hospital Sunday after a police chase led to a rollover crash in North Olmsted.

North Olmsted police officers tried to make a traffic stop on a car just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Brookpark Road, near Great Northern Mall.

Police say the vehicle had a license plate and brake light violation.

According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle near Claugue Road.

The driver was thrown from the car during the rollover. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After the crash, police found the a 1-year-old in the car. The baby was secured in the car seat and did not appear injured.

The driver’s license was suspended. Police also found the driver with illegal possession of a firearm.

Police are not releasing the driver’s name until he is officially charged.
