Two brothers were shot dead early this Monday (17) in Santa Maria , in the Central Region . Robson Luciano Tiliman, 37, and Gelson Adriano Tiliman, 39, were killed with around 20 shots each.

The crime took place on Rua Helmuth Knies, in the Divina Providência neighborhood, in the northern part of the city. The Homicide and Person Protection Police Station of Santa Maria is investigating the case.

According to initial information, criminals would have impersonated police officers to commit the crime.

The mother of the victims and the wife of one of them reported that a group of five men invaded the residence and started shooting at the two men. They wore vests and shirts with Civil Police inscriptions. Two cell phones from the house were also taken by the suspects.
