In a freak accident, a 45-year-old man died after being hit by an auto rickshaw at Shamsheergunj early on Sunday.

According to the police, A Jangaiah, who works at a rice store at Shamsheergunj resides at Venkatapuram in Pahadishareef. On Sunday morning, the man was crossing the road at Shamsheergunj to go to his shop when an overloaded auto rickshaw came in his direction.
