The man shot in the São Genaro neighborhood died in the early hours of Saturday (16), at Santa Casa de Misericórdia, in Barra Mansa. The crime occurred late on Friday night (15), on Rua B.

Elieser Medeiros Pereira was shot eight times and was taken to Santa Casa de Misericórdia by Samu in a very serious condition, but he did not survive his injuries. A camera recorded the moment of the murder, carried out by four men disembarking from a car. Informa Cidade chose not to show it because it considered the images too strong.

In the images, the victim screams and begs not to die, but the criminals still shoot him. There is a lot of screaming, running and despair, with even a child appearing at the scene of the murder. According to initial information from the Military Police, the car used in the crime was abandoned moments later on a dirt road.

The Civil Police investigates the crimes. With Elieser's confirmed death, the number of deaths in less than 24 hours in the region has reached four, with homicides recorded in Pinheiral, Volta Redonda and another in a bakery also in Barra Mansa.
