Several fights broke out in a large crowd in Cleveland’s Warehouse District, on Sunday as people celebrated St. Patrick’s Day.

It happened on West 6th Street near Johnson Court.

Corey Powell captured the fight on his cell phone.

“It was one fight here, then another fight here, and then more fighting here,” Powell said. “People getting grabbed here.”

Downtown Cleveland was packed with people celebrating the holiday at the bars and restaurants.

“St. Patrick’s Day is like a drink fest for everybody,” Powell said. “I don’t know what fuels people but some people can handle it, some people can’t and then that’s just what happens.”

Powell said police quickly de-escalated the situation.

“I feel like the law enforcement they did a good job during it with what they needed to do,” Powell said. “Nobody ended up shot, so I guess they’re doing a good job keeping the other madness away.”
