A monstrous crime was recorded on Wednesday night (20/03) in the town of Araquém Coreaú in the North of Ceará. A 16-year-old teenager killed his own mother with multiple sticks after he arrived home allegedly drugged.

The victim was identified as Francisca Lourenço Carvalho, who was badly beaten with a stick and despite being taken to the municipal hospital in Coreau, he succumbed to his injuries and died.

After the crime, the offender tried to escape but ended up being detained by members of the public who called the military police, a VTR from the district of Ubauna went to the location and found the minor detained, however, the Coreau guardianship council was called and the offender was taken away to the Sobral municipal police station where the legal procedures were carried out.

“The teenager told the police that he killed his mother because he came home drugged,” according to what he told the police.
