Araguaia NewsThe former soldier of the Military Police of Mato Grosso, Dirley de Souza Borges, aged 41, was shot dead in front of a convenience store, on Tuesday night (2), in the southern Mato Grosso municipality of Coxim ( 456 km from Cuiabá). The criminals' action was caught by a monitoring camera.

From the images, it is possible to see Dirley sitting on a wire chair in front of the store located on Avenida Frei Cirino João Primon, Bairro Vila Bela and using his cell phone. Then, a dark-colored vehicle approaches and one of the occupants fires shots.

Dirley was hit by at least seven shots, which hit his head and chest. According to information from the Campo Grande News website, Dirley worked in Rondonópolis (216 km from Cuiabá), but when he tried to retire due to disability, in 2022, he was expelled from the corporation.

He had several criminal records for crimes such as violence, domestic violence, threats, slander and defamation, in addition to being identified as the perpetrator of a rape committed in Mato Grosso. The information was confirmed by delegate Brunna Karla Dias Melo, from the 1st Civil Police Station of Coxim, who is responsible for the case.
