Armed men executed the man who amputated the hands of a homeless man outside an Oxxo in Macuspana , Tabasco , who they had accused of trying to steal a shovel .

In recent days, a video was circulated on social media showing how a man with a masonry shovel attacked a homeless man identified as " El Mascarita ", amputating his hands and ultimately causing his death.

The video quickly went viral on the internet as the entire attack could be seen until he again took a motorcycle with an accomplice and escaped from the scene.

According to information obtained on Tuesday afternoon, the attacker was killed near the old market in Macuspana .

The deceased was identified as Fredy Cruz Mtz , 33 years old, who sold caps in the public market.

The subject received at least 2 gunshot wounds.
