On October 1, 2021, Daniel Solis knocked on the front door of a Linda residence and stood on the porch holding a package and pretending to have a delivery. When the 59-year-old victim opened the door, Solis pulled a knife and forced the victim back into the house, stabbing him multiple times before running from the house. The home invasion was captured by the victim’s Ring doorbell.

Personnel from Linda Fire and BiCounty Ambulance arrived and saved the victim’s life. The victim suffered a stab wound to his chest and a collapsed lung. He spent multiple days in the hospital and still suffers flashbacks from the attack.
