The Novocheboksarsk prosecutor's office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 44-year-old resident of Cheboksary, a foreman at the production site of Cheboksary Doors LLC. He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of labor protection requirements committed by a person entrusted with the obligation to comply with them, if this resulted in serious harm to human health).

A criminal case was initiated based on materials from the prosecutor's investigation.

In violation of the established requirements, he allowed the placement of cargo (a stack of sheets of finely dispersed fraction) in front of the machine (format-cutting center) at a distance that did not ensure the safety of actions during production operations. The above led to the fact that at 11 hours 46 minutes on 08/11/2023, during the preparation of door leaf blanks using this machine, one of the workers was sandwiched between a stack of MDF sheets on the machine feed table and a stacked stack of similar sheets. As a result of this, the victim received injuries considered to be grievous bodily harm.

In addition, it was established that the accused, in violation of the established rules, did not develop a technological map indicating the locations of cargo placement and the dimensions of passages and passages in this workshop.

The criminal case was sent by the prosecutor's office for consideration in court.

We note that for committing this crime, the criminal law provides for punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of up to four hundred thousand rubles or in the amount of wages or other income of the convicted person, compulsory labor for a period of one hundred eighty to two hundred forty hours, correctional labor for a term of up to two years, forced labor for a term of up to one year, as well as imprisonment for the same period.
