A motorcyclist died after colliding head-on with a truck on RN-063, in Nísia Floresta, on Tuesday morning (18). According to the State Highway Police Command (CPRE), he was identified as Luciano Gomes. The accident happened in the Boa Cica slope area.

According to the Civil Police, the motorcycle allegedly crossed into the opposite lane and collided with the truck, which was being used to deliver construction materials. Due to the impact, the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

"Witnesses also reported that the motorcyclist was speeding and not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The circumstances of the accident will be investigated by the competent authorities," the Civil Police stated.

The Scientific Police of Rio Grande do Norte conducted an investigation at the scene and removed the victim's body.
