Police were asking for the public’s help Monday in identifying a man and a woman seen on surveillance video from a liquor store who were later involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian hospitalized.It happened just before 9 p.m. on Aug. 1 in the parking lot of Jerry’s Liquor Store in the 4200 block of S. Vermont Avenue in South Los Angeles, according to a Facebook post by the LAPD’s Southwest Community Police Station.Surveillance video showed the suspects, in a two-door white Ford Explorer, running over the victim twice.The man was able to get up and walk away from the crash. He ended up spending several days in the hospital recovering from his injuries, police said.
