The Diocese of Floriano, in Piauí, announced the removal of Father Vinícius José de Madeira Messias from all public functions of the priestly ministry, after the leak of intimate videos that generated great repercussion on social networks.

In a statement, the Diocese stated that the decision was taken in a “spirit of prudence,” aiming at the good of the Church, the care of the people of God and due attention to the person of the priest.
