Jacaraú, Brazil

Four men were murdered around 3am this Monday (25), in the city of Jacaraú, in Brejo da Paraíba. According to information from the Military Police, two young people have already been identified: Weverton Gomes da Silva and Wellingon Gomes da Silva.

Two cars and a motorcycle arrived at the house where the victims were, dragged them out and carried out the murders. A woman and a child were there at the time, but managed to escape by locking themselves in a room. They were not injured.

According to police, the other two victims tried to escape, but were killed on the sidewalk. They have not yet been identified.

The Civil Police delegate, Sylvio Rabelo, explains that the crime is related to a confrontation between two criminal factions. Two of the murdered men were from Rio de Janeiro. The other two had already been arrested by the police and had escaped arrest in other Paraíba police operations.
