A woman was the victim of femicide on the morning of Thursday, 4.17.25, in Ouricuri, in the Sertão do Araripe, in Pernambuco. The crime occurred around 7 am, in the Airport neighborhood, and shocked residents of the region. Military police from the 7th BPM were called to the scene and isolated the area for the forensic procedures conducted by the Criminalistics Institute (IC). So far, there is no information about the authorship or motivation of the homicide. The Civil Police took over the investigations of the case and is working to identify those responsible for the crime and clarify the circumstances of the murder. The community is waiting for answers while the episode reinforces the need to combat violence against women in the region.
