A man was found dead after being hit by several gunshots on Rua Quatro de Dezembro, in the center of Encruzilhada do Sul. The incident was recorded around 6:30 am this Sunday (19).

As reported by Portal Arauto, the Military Brigade garrison found the victim dead upon arriving at the scene, near a market. Several .380 caliber ammunition casings were found near the body.

Locals reported that the crime was committed by the occupants of a white vehicle, which fled the scene after the shots were fired. More than 10 shots were reportedly fired.

Officers from the Civil Police Station, accompanied by the team from the Legal Medical Institute (IML), were at the scene to carry out the forensic procedures. The officers are already working on collecting images from security cameras that may have recorded the crime.

So far, no suspects have been identified. The Military Police are also working to locate those involved.
