CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. — Authorities in West Virginia are currently searching for a man suspected of stealing an ambulance.

The Huntington Police have identified the suspect as 37-year-old Anthony Ray Bell. He is wanted for felony auto theft and multiple misdemeanor charges, WCHS reported.

Officers reported that paramedics were responding to a medical emergency inside a house early Monday morning when Bell seized the opportunity, entered the ambulance and drove off.

Cabell County EMS Director Gordon Merry noted that the stolen ambulance was recovered after 10-15 minutes without any missing items but with minor damage from crashing into a home on Division Street West.

Repairs were made and the ambulance was out of service for about two hours. Authorities confirmed there were no injuries.
