What was supposed to be an assault on a gas station turned into a fight and a shootout that left one of the victims injured; it happened at the old toll booth in Chalco.

CHALCO, State of Mexico.- Armed men entered a gas station to assault the workers, starting a fight that ended in a shootout, leaving one person wounded by a bullet.

The events occurred in the old Chalco toll booth, in the State of Mexico.

The alleged robbers demanded money and phones from the workers at the place, threatening that if they did not keep quiet they would shoot them; one of the workers approached a gas tank, opening the valve to spray the criminals with gas.

A fight broke out in which they began shooting, while the worker continued to throw gas at them from a hose.

One of the attackers shot the man who was spraying the gas in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground, trying to hide while the others were fighting and the workers tried to take the gun away from the attackers.

The whereabouts of the criminals are unknown.
