A man, whose identity has not been released, was run over and then shot dead on Friday afternoon (31), in the neighborhood of Estados, in João Pessoa . The crime was recorded by security cameras of a property on the street where the incident occurred.

The security camera footage shows the moment when the victim was riding a motorcycle along the road and, at a certain point, a car, which was apparently parked on the street, accelerates and runs over the victim.

The victim still tries to avoid the collision with the car, but fails and is hit.

With the impact, the victim and the motorcycle he was riding were thrown against the wall of a residence. Immediately after the accident, about four men got out of the vehicle and started shooting at the victim, who died at the scene.

The Civil Police were at the crime scene, and delegate Thiago Cavalcante explained that a sum of money and some quantities of substances similar to what would be drugs were found with the victim.

"Approximately R$600 in cash and two portions of substances similar to the drug known as crack were found next to the victim, and this indicates, at the very least, that he was a user," said the officer.

After the crime, the shooters fled and have not yet been located. The Civil Police are investigating the crime. (skip to 24 seconds)
