18-year-old Jonathan Navarro, of Reno, was riding west on I-80 approaching Pyramid Highway when he struck a black Subaru Impreza in the fast lane.

Navarro lost control of the motorcycle, and was struck by a pickup truck after being ejected from the motorcycle. Tragically, Navarro died at the scene.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the driver of the black Subaru committed a felony and a misdemeanor when he failed to stop at the scene and render aid. The driver was located and identified as 19-year-old Jose Arellano, of Truckee. Arellano turned himself in and was arrested for felony Duty to Stop and a misdemeanor charge of Duty to give information and render aid.
