Two muggers shot one man and just missed another during a violent robbery in Queens early Sunday morning, police said.

The thugs approached the victims, 29 and 26 years old, at about 6:20 a.m. on 43rd Avenue near 13th Street in Long Island City. They attempted to snatch a gold chain from the 29-year-old before pulling out a gun and shooting him in the stomach and thigh, police said.

The suspects also fired at the 26-year-old, but missed him, according to authorities.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The suspects are between 19 and 25 years old, police said.
