The incident occurred last evening around 19:10 hours at the Sparendaam Squatting Area, ECD. The victim has been identified as 28 year old Jevon Mc Pherson of the said area.

The suspect is a 36-year-old, male, at large identified only as “Bling Dog.”

Police enquiries disclosed that on the date and time mentioned the victim was seated on a chair next to a nearby wooden stall when he was attacked by the suspect who was armed with a cutlass.

As a result, a scuffle ensued where they ended up in a nearby trench where the suspect dealt the victim several chops about his body causing him to receive injuries.

The suspect subsequently made good his escape.
