In this video, Albuquerque (NM) Police Officer Lou Golson, a 31 year veteran, approaches what turned out to be a stolen vehicle after he stopped it for suspicion of DUI. Immediately, a POS opens the door and begins firing at Officer Golson, who is hit in the abdomen.

He was also hit once in the chest and twice in the left side, but his vest caught those rounds. Additionally, Officer Golson suffered a broken leg and wrist in the fall. Unfortunately no bullet hit the shooter who fled the scene.
