A Brazilian merchant was shot in the head when he was preparing to open his business in the city of Pucallpa, in the Ucayali region. The crime occurred in broad daylight and was recorded by security cameras installed in the area.

The victim was identified as Raimundo Braga de Andrade, who was approached by an armed subject outside his establishment. The attacker approached directly and fired the shot at close range, causing him to die immediately.

After the attack, the hitman quickly escaped from the place on board a motorcycle, in which he was expected by an accomplice a few meters from the premises. The escape was recorded in video surveillance images, which passed into the hands of the National Police of Peru.

According to police information, Braga de Andrade had been residing in Pucallpa for four years, where he had dedicated himself exclusively to the commercial sector. On the day of the crime he performed his usual routine of opening the business when he was surprised by the aggressor

After the murder, agents of the National Police deployed an operation in different parts of the city to locate those responsible. As a result of these actions, the alleged perpetrator of the crime was captured in a house in the area.

The detainee was identified as Álex Ampuero, aka "El Negro". During the police intervention, the firearm that would have been used in the murder was found, as well as the motorcycle used for the escape.

According to the preliminary proceedings, the intervener admitted his participation in the homicide and said that he received three thousand soles for committing the crime. Police are continuing to investigate to clarify the motive for the murder and locate the alleged mastermind of the attack.
