Two New York Police Department officers are being praised for stopping a man from jumping off an overpass to his apparent death. Officers Carl Fayette and Eleodoro Mata are seen in newly-released footage taking action to help prevent the death of an unidentified civilian. As the man stands on Riverside Drive, near West 130th Street in New York, contemplating his fate, Fayette is heard offering some advice and words of reassurance. 'I’ve been in your shoes and it's not worth it. Listen, I'm a man and you're a man, you understand what I'm saying,' he says.
