The reserve corporal of the Ceará Military Police, identified as José Hélio Ribeiro, aged 69, died this Tuesday (21), after being shot during a robbery in the Conjunto Ceará neighborhood, in Fortaleza. No suspects were arrested as of early Wednesday morning (22). Security cameras caught the crime.

In the images, it is possible to see the victim sitting in a chair on the sidewalk, in front of a store, on Av. D, when he is approached by a pedestrian, who allegedly tries to take the gun that the elderly man was carrying at the time, but he reacts .

Then, a second suspect approaches, on board a motorcycle, and helps his accomplice. The three engage in a physical fight, but the first man appears to be able to disarm the former security officer and shoot him , who falls to the ground. The two criminals escape in the vehicle.

José Hélio was taken to a health unit in the region, but he succumbed to his injuries and died.
