A dispute over an iPhone led to a family tragedy in the Tisgaon region of India.

A man named Kunal Chadgude quarreled with his parents after they refused to buy him an iPhone due to a lack of funds. Frustrated, he climbed a local hill and threatened to jump; his parents and local residents followed him, and hours of negotiation ensued in an attempt to convince him to back down.

In a final attempt, Kunal's father tried to grab him by the arm, but both lost their balance and fell; upon witnessing the scene, Kunal's mother also threw herself off.
