A 19-year-old man was brutally murdered in the municipality of Anapurus, about 277 km from São Luís . He was killed with about 30 shots and then burned on a public road.According to investigations by the Civil Police, the case occurred in the early hours of Saturday (2) to Sunday (3) and the main hypothesis is that the crime was carried out by a criminal faction. The victim's name was Rafael Souza Lopes, and in the early hours of the morning of the crime, 10 to 12 armed men took him from the house where he lived with his family. He was tortured by the group and then shot several times. At the scene, police found at least 21 .40 caliber ammunition casings and 16 9mm cartridges.Shortly after he was murdered, the criminals grabbed a sofa, threw it over Rafael's body and then set it on fire. The group even recorded a video 'showing off' the murder and then fled. The Anapurus Civil Police stated that they are working to identify and arrest all the perpetrators of the crime, which was allegedly motivated by the fact that the victim had 'associated' with a person who was from a rival faction. However, the causes are still being investigated.
