The accident occurred on the afternoon of November 22 on the road from Bogotá to Villavicencio, exactly at kilometer 85.

A security camera recorded the exact moment of the crash on video . At 2:44 p.m., the white truck traveling in the left lane hit two private cars that in turn crashed into a tractor-trailer that was making a turn.

Later, the van collided with other vehicles. The impact caused several of them to end up on the side of the road with considerable damage.

"There are several people inside. What a terrible accident. Several cars crashed and some crushed. A brutal accident," said a witness, who recorded the following moments with his cell phone.

The community and emergency agencies helped the injured. According to reports, Yasmín Patricia Sabogal Barbosa and Fabián Andrés Robayo Bello, who were traveling in one of the cars, had to be transferred to medical centers due to the severity of their injuries.

Authorities have begun investigations to determine the cause of the accident. They are analyzing whether the Turbo-type food transport vehicle that caused the accident had a mechanical failure or was speeding.
