An altercation on Buffalo's East Side, which started with a grill being thrown, ended with police saying that an officer was stabbed and a person shot by police.

Just before 4:40 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Broadway and Liddell Street, on security camera footage 7 News obtained from a nearby business, a grill is thrown at a person on Broadway.
