A confrontation between alleged members of the criminal organizations Los Tlacos and the Familia Michoacana (FM) left seventeen dead in the mountains of the municipality of San Miguel Totolapan, in the Tierra Caliente region of Guerrero.

According to reports from residents of that part of the Sierra , the confrontation occurred at noon this past Monday at a point known as Piedra Concha.

In the confrontation, sixteen members of the Familia Michoacana and one from Los Tlacos died.
